Overview
The Activities Board at Columbia (ABC) currently governs 155 undergraduate student organizations at Columbia University.
The membership of student clubs under the ABC generally consists of students from the four undergraduate schools at Columbia: Columbia College, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of General Studies and Barnard College.
Officially, ABC serves four primary purposes on campus:
1. ABC makes recommendations to the Office of Student Development and Activities (SDA) regarding new group recognition; 2. ABC funds the inital allocations and approves the expenditures of those groups recognized under ABC; 3. ABC determines funding and policy guidelines for ABC recognized organizations; 4. ABC empanels a Judiciary Committee to enforce above guidelines (if and when necessary).
The ABC meets on Wednesdays at 8:30pm.
